purple and blue afghan

I am getting started on an afghan blanket for my niece.  I picked her favorite colors, or at least the colors she had her room decorated with.
I am hoping to finish it soon, she goes back to Colorado on Saturday.  I am making good progress so far.  I started it on Saturday.
I am using the slanted half shell stitch.

  1. I really like those colors together!! I hope you get to finish it! :o) I'm still learning to crochet. I got a couple of preemie hats done and working on a rainbow scarf for my son. Can't WAIT to move to a blanket!!

  2. Thank you. Blankets are not that difficult, just like a scarf, only bigger. I posted the links to the tutorials for the stitches I have been using.
I started with a chain of 120 for this blanket, it's about 3ft wide. Like a throw blanket, something to snuggle up with while watching TV.
I finished it, it is in the wash now, and later on today I will deliver it.

  4. I am crocheting a c2c blanket in 2 shades of purple and one shade of blue for my granddaughter. The blanket pictured above looks like a c2c. I love using that pattern. Hope to have 3 afghans done by Christmas 2017 for 3 grandchildren.
